TECHNOLOGY

The SeaGliders utilize the innovative 'wing-in-ground-effect (WIG) technology and is engineered to maximize the utilization of current port infrastructure. These vessels initiate their journey with the hull in the water, gradually transitioning onto foils as speed builds. Eventually, they achieve lift, enabling them to glide in-ground-effect approximately 10 meters above the water's surface.

Harnessing the aerodynamic benefits of the "ground effect," the SeaGliders offer remarkable operational efficiencies, enhanced payload capacity, extended range, and increased speed.

SPEED & EFFICIENCY

Versa Maritime SeaGliders will revolutionize transportation by delivering aircraft speeds while significantly reducing operating costs. These advanced vessels will efficiently transport passengers and cargo over distances of up to 300 km at speeds approaching 300 kph in the 12-seater Viceroys, and up to 800 km at speeds close to 540 kph in the 100-seater Monarchs, all utilizing existing battery technology.

Electric motors make the sea glider 30 decibels quieter than comparable aircraft or helicopters and drastically reduce maintenance costs while eliminating emissions.

Cargo door

The spacious cargo door (6’5” height by 5’4” width, 1.95m height by 1.37m width) facilitates easy cargo loading, making the seaglider adaptable for various missions.

Hydrofoil

Seagliders stand out with smooth rides and exceptional maneuverability, especially in ports. Their retractable hydrofoils allow for near-water flight after takeoff and smooth docking upon landing.

Propellers

Distributed blown wing propulsion guarantees secure and comfortable takeoffs and landings at low speeds, bolstered by the redundancy of 8 electric motors to enhance safety measures.

Nose

Onboard safety systems offer the Seaglider captain complete situational awareness, enabling them to steer clear of obstacles, identify traffic, and maintain safe distances from marine wildlife.

Hull

The pointed deep-V hull ensures comfortable landings in various sea conditions. Seagliders utilize this design alongside hydrofoils for swift water transit, eliminating the need for a flat, uncomfortable planning hull.
